1. What Data We Collect

Salazar collects only the minimum data required to function:

  • Guild ID — to store your server's configuration (log channels, member roles, bot roles).
  • User ID — for dashboard authentication via Discord OAuth2. We do not store your email or password.
  • Message metadata — when logging is enabled, we temporarily process message IDs, author IDs, and channel IDs to generate log embeds. Message content is never stored in our database.
  • Server statistics — aggregate counts (number of servers, members) for display on our public website.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • Server configuration data is used solely to provide Salazar's features (logging, auto-role, security).
  • User IDs are used to authenticate you to the dashboard and verify server ownership.
  • We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising or analytics beyond operating the service.

3. Data Storage

All data is stored in a secured MongoDB database. Access is restricted to the bot operator. Data is retained for as long as Salazar is present in your server.

4. Data Deletion

You can request deletion of all data associated with your server by removing Salazar from your server. Configuration data is automatically eligible for cleanup after removal. To request immediate deletion, contact the bot owner.

5. Third-Party Services

  • Discord — Salazar operates within Discord's platform and is subject to Discord's Privacy Policy.
  • MongoDB Atlas — our database provider. Data is stored on their infrastructure.

6. Cookies

The dashboard uses session cookies provided by NextAuth.js for authentication only. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.

7. Children's Privacy

Salazar is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Discord's minimum age requirement applies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Contact

For privacy-related requests or questions, contact the bot owner via Discord or through the support server.
